CFC Distinguished Alumni 2014
We honored the 2014 distinguished alumni at Homecoming:
- Jim Durglo (Distinguished Native American Alumni), 1987 Forestry
- Russ Graham, 1972 Forestry
- Peter Leech, 1965 Forestry
- Zane Smith, 1955 Forestry
Senior spring camp in 1963 was held at Lion Springs, just east of Libby, Montana. Congratulations to alumnus Carl Cain, who quickly answered our quiz question about this photo in our 2014 report. Carl attended camp here in 1962. We also heard from Randy Gay, who was there in 1965 and said the cook, Bunker Hill, "made the best sourdough cinnamon rolls ever." Kurt Luebke also weighed in -- he's an '84 grad but has historical records about camp from this era. Dave Guarnaccia was a graduate assistant at the camp in 1961 under professor Bill Pierce.
Thanks to Dave Fauss for this original photo.

Classes of 1954 through 1961:
Alumni Zane Smith (class of '55) is organizing an effort to sponsor a tree on the UM Oval from the Forestry School classes of '54 through '61.
