Learn about the stewardship of forest lands and resources

Learn to be a steward of forest resources, from water to wildlife to wood products. You’ll learn about forest ecology, silviculture, and timber operations, and how to collaborate on important natural resource challenges. The forestry program provides you with a solid background in biological, physical, social, and management sciences related to forests and their management. Our graduates work as district foresters, fire supervisors, forest planners, timber managers, and more!

The forestry degree meets civil service requirements for Forestry Series 460 and is certified by Society of American Foresters.
